So Google has been in development of a very human sounding AI Bot called Duplex and it is kinda awesome and creepy at the same time. This could revolutionize the way that “assistants” are viewed. Google Assistant, once launched, can make appointments for restaurants or for hair cuts (like in the original phone call in the video). Right now, Google has opened up public testing so that they can get a feel for performance from a select few of trusted places. But what does this mean for home services companies? Will Google Assistant eventually be able to call and schedule a home services appointment based on what it knows about your home? Only time will tell.
